Dagmar A. Cassan - Executive Director bayme vbm vbw U.S. Liaison Office
Dagmar A. Cassan was appointed in January 2011 to establish the bayme vbm vbw U.S. Liaison Office in New York City, and has successfully managed it since.
The New York office is the U.S. contact point for the Bavarian Industry Association of Metalworking and Electrical Enterprises – bayme, the Employers’ Association of Bavarian Metalworking and Electrical Industries vbm and the Bavarian Industry Association vbw, for all matters economic and political. It serves the same purpose for U.S. corporations, whose subsidiaries in Bavaria are members of bayme vbm. The office is an integral part of an extensive and diverse contact network that includes businesses and international financial service-providers, political decision-makers and think tanks.
From 1996 to December 2010, Ms. Cassan held the position of Executive Managing Director, United States Office of the Bavarian Ministry for Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology. On November 22nd, 2010, Martin Zeil, the Bavarian Minister for Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology, awarded Ms. Cassan the State Medal for outstanding service for the Bavarian Economy in a ceremony in Munich.
Ms. Cassan has had an extensive and successful career in corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, venture capital and international business development with Fortune 50 U.S. companies.
Ms. Cassan has a BA (Economics – Magna Cum Laude) from Fordham University and an MBA (Finance) from Stern School of Business, New York University Graduate School of Business Administration. She is on the Board of Advisors for undergraduate education, Fordham University-Lincoln Center, and on the board of directors and active member of many other distinguished professional organizations.
